چکیده

Abstract Third-generation oriental armyworm larvae, Mythimna separata (Walker) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), have caused considerable economic losses in Jilin. Understanding the occurrence, regularity and return movement of third-generation adults is crucial for pest forecasting. The study was conducted using systemic monitoring, radar observations molecular markers from 2015 to 2019. main results are as follows: (1) moths were regularly captured late August September. These been attributed local emergence identified an “emigration population.” Wind speed temperature advantageous moth migration, northeasterly winds account 9.6% total. Radar studies determined that migrant flying height mainly below 600 m. Moths migrated over a range directions, including their movements. Forward trajectories predicted destination regions Korean Peninsula, Russian Far East, northern China unfavorable survival. (2) A total 29 haplotypes detected. There unique between two sampling years. haplotype analysis indicated similar content diversity indices appear maintained. Overall, our findings indicate did not make successful flight, but genetic unaffected.

Insight Into the Ultrastructure of Antennal Sensilla of Mythimna separata (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

The oriental armyworm, Mythimna separata (Walk), is one of the most serious pests of cereals in Asia and Australasia. The structure and distribution of the antennal sensilla of M. separata were studied by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The results showed that antennae of both female and male M. separata are filiform in shape. Three groups and seven morphologi...

Host age preference of Microplitis mediator (Hymenoptera: Braconidae), an endoparasitoid of Mythimna separata (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

Microplitis mediator (Haliday) is a solitary endoparasitoid of larvae of the cotton bollworm, Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) and the oriental armyworm, Mythimna = Leucania separata (Walker). The preference and suitability of different instars of M. separata for M. mediator were determined under laboratory conditions at a constant temperature of 26 ± 1 C, 65 ± 5% RH and L14:D10 photoperiod. The s...

Property of Midgut α-Amylase From Mythimna separata (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) Larvae and Its Responses to Potential Inhibitors In Vitro

Midgut α-amylase is an important digestive enzyme involved in larval energy metabolism and carbohydrate assimilation. In this article, the properties of midgut α-amylase from the Oriental armyworm, Mythimna separata (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), larvae were characterized, and its in vitro responses to chemical inhibitors were also determined. The kinetic parameters Km and Vmax of midgut α-amylase w...

De Novo Assembly of the Transcriptome for Oriental Armyworm Mythimna separata (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) and Analysis on Insecticide Resistance-Related Genes

Mythimna separata walker (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is a polyphagous pest of nearly 100 families of more than 300 kinds of food and industrial crops. So far, both nucleotide and protein sequence information has been rarely available in database for M. separata, strictly limiting molecular biology research in this insect species. In this study, we carried out a transcriptome sequencing for M. sepa...

Cloning, Expression and Purification of Subunit H of Vacuolar H+-ATPase from Mythimna separata Walker (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae)

The vacuolar (H+)-ATPase (V-ATPase) of insect, which is composed of membrane-bound V0 complex and peripheral V1 complex, participates in lots of important physiological process. Subunit H, as a subunit of V1 complex, plays a vital role in bridging the communication between V1 and V0 complexes and interaction with other proteins. Yeast subunit H has been successfully crystallized through express...
